My fascination with photography began in junior high school with my first camera –– a lovely Nikon FM-2 with a 50mm lens. Which I then proceeded to drop into the ocean and lose. Nevertheless, I pressed on, passion undaunted, and the happy result is La Muse Photography.
I have a photojournalistic style that aims to capture a moment in time. These portraits are visual testaments to the true spirit of the people and pets who are my subjects. I love working on location; at a subject’s home, or favorite park, the beach or anywhere truly special to my clients. This gives a glimpse into the life of the sitter, and makes the portraits more intimate and meaningful.
I have a Master of Fine Arts degree from Lesley University, and a certificate from the New England School of Photography in Boston. Additionally, I have studied photography at the Massachusetts College of Art and the Maine Photographic Workshops, where I have participated in intensive seminars with world-renowned photographers. I am also a member of the Professional Photographers of Massachusetts and the New England Association of Professional Photographers.
When I am not volunteering my time for the Boston Chapter of the Animal Rescue League, I am hanging out in Brookline and Southern Maine with my husband and my much loved Australian cattle dog mix, Boo Radley.
