Rita's Cafe is a family-owned business started by Rita Barakat. Rita has been working with her family in the neighborhood at Foley's Liquor Store for over ten years where she made friends with most of the neighborhood.
Rita's love for coffee and customer complaints about the lack of having good coffee in the neighborhood gave her the idea of starting Rita's Cafe, where great coffee, delicious pastries and a wonderful Brookline neighborhood come together.
Our coffee shop strives to provide you with perfection in every cup. Our Italian-style coffee and pastries are made with the highest quality ingredients.
Rita's Cafe is a great place to come sit and read, work on your laptop, bring in your kids for some Gelato or just visit with friends.

What a cute little spot! And right by a Doctor's office, perfect for grabbing a treat after an unpleasant visit. The guy behind the counter (owner?) is very friendly and if you stick around he may a offer you samples of some of the amazing pastries. Lattes and Mochas are tasty and not too sweet.

Thank Goodness! a change from Starbucks or Dunkies in Brookline. I recently stopped by here for coffee as I was in the area for a business meeting. Solid coffee selection, CHEAP prices for location (coffee was around $1.65 for a large brewed), nice authentic espresso drinks, tasty pastries The decor is warm and simple, and the people who I assume are owners are extremely helpful and friendly.
