Greg Shamrit, the owner of GOLDSMITH CO, is a European-trained jeweler who creates one-of-a-kind pieces right in his shop on Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner. In his native Russia, he was a mechanical engineer. In 1977, he began studying antique jewelry restoration and design and learned a lot during the 18-month, 12-hour-a-day training. Greg has been a resident of Brookline since 1989. In 1992 he started his own business GOLDSMITH CO with a retail shop in Burlington, MA. He moved his business to Coolidge Corner in 2002.
GOLDSMITH CO specializes in handmade jewelry design (engagement rings, wedding bands, signet rings, etc.). He also specializes in watch and jewelry restorations and houses a complete spectrum of work in gold and platinum.
GOLDSMITH CO has a collection of mouth-blown art glass created in the USA and Europe, and has the largest unique collection of amber jewelry in New England. GOLDSMITH CO is also an authorized dealer of MOVADO Swiss watches.
